“Professor Appuhn and tutor 迈克Seevers are great examples of Black Hawk’s exceptional faculty and staff members,” said Leah Mueller, chapter vice president of service. “We thank them for their hard work.”

The chapter also thanks the students who took the time to nominate faculty and staff members for the award.

Each fall and spring semester, Phi Theta Kappa members are asked to recommend a well-deserving faculty or staff member. The first Golden Apple Award was presented at the chapter’s Spring 2019 induction ceremony.

Appuhn is the fifth faculty member and Seevers is the first staff member to receive the award.
